The last book in the Eternal Muse. For now, at any rate; I might come up with something more if the fancy takes me, and people want it. But I’m finishing up my draft of The Eternal Muse: The Maligned Minstrel. This is Rasmus’ story, a prequel of the trilogy, about how he became the Hermit, and Piper’s mentor and friend in Desecration.
What do I look for in a beta reader? The manuscript is essentially finished, from my point of view. But a beta reader reads it like a reader, and tells the writer how they felt about it. Was it a good story? Were there any plot holes? Were the characters engaging? Did it end in a satisfactory fashion, did it have any places where it dragged too much? At any point in the story, did something happen that knocked the reader out of the story, by confusing them, annoying them, being unbelievable? I’ll then take that feedback, and decide if I need to update the manuscript before releasing it.
